James MacArthur - The Ten Commandments Of Love (Scepter 1250, 1963)

Описание к видео James MacArthur - The Ten Commandments Of Love (Scepter 1250, 1963)

My good, old DUAL 1010V (now with a new idler wheel) is playing "The Ten Commandments Of Love" performed by James MacArthur. This song was made famous by the Moonglows in 1958. Television star James MacArthur (Danny Williams on Hawaii Five-O) spoke his way through this tune in 1963 (Scepter 1250), scraping the bottom of the charts at #94.

The lyrics are a little different, here they are:

Oh, how happy you will be, if you keep the ten commandments Of love

(1) Promise him you'll never love another
(2) Stand by him all the while
(3) Cheer him when he's lonely
And you'll go through life with a smile

Oh, how happy you will be, if you keep the ten commandments Of love

(4) Never lie to one another
(5) Consider him in all you do
(6) And when you love, love with all your heart
Until your life on earth is through

Oh, how happy you will be, if you keep the ten commandments Of love

(7) Always try to remember
The way he feels inside
But if you should forget
let your conscience be your guide

(8) Be the first to forgive him
(9) Never let the teardrops start
(10) And don't just say the Ten Commandments
Live them with your heart.

Oh, how happy you will be, if you keep the ten commandments Of love
