French Senator in Taiwan: We Don’t Have To Be Afraid of China | TaiwanPlus News

Earlier this year, France passed a law that for the first time included a section committing Paris to defending freedom of navigation in the Indo-Pacific, including the Taiwan Strait. TaiwanPlus met the French senator who pushed for that inclusion. Olivier Cadic, vice-president of the Senate's permanent committee on foreign affairs and defense issues, was visiting Taiwan’s outlying islands of Penghu, as well as Taipei.
