½ Cup Shortening
2 Packets Rapid Rise Instant Yeast, (about 4½ teaspoons)
3 Tbsp. Warm Water (105-110 degrees)
2 Cups Whole Buttermilk (cold)

Maple Bacon Butter
2 Slices Cooked Bacon (finely diced)
½ Cup Butter (softened)
2 Tbsp. Real Maple Syrup
