Gatescarth Pass, Lake District green lanes, Cumbria

Описание к видео Gatescarth Pass, Lake District green lanes, Cumbria

A steep rocky climb to almost 2000 feet via a series of hairpins and then descending via more tight turns, Gatescarth Pass in the Lake District, Cumbria, is a fantastic drive offering spectacular views. Use of Gatescarth Pass is managed by a permit system which allows 12 4x4’s with wheel bases shorter than 100” to drive it North to South on one permit day each month. In 2021 there’s 7 permit days for 4x4’s running from May to November inclusive. We were fortunate to get 2 permits, last minute, for the September permit day. This video enables you to watch us take on Gatescarth for the first time in our Land Rover Defenders, what a great drive it is!
