2023 Kia Sportage GT-Line S 1.6L T-GDi PHEV AWD AT Interior & Exterior UK Spec

For the first time in the best-selling Kia Sportage’s long and rich history, a dedicated European version has been carefully created to establish new standards across the SUV segment. It combines a sleek yet muscular and modern exterior design with a cutting-edge premium interior, featuring an integrated curved display with the latest advancements in connectivity technology.

Developed on Kia’s new ‘N3’ architecture, the Sportage benefits from a European-focused high-tech engineering programme that has realised an optimal wheelbase and ideal dimensions and proportions for European roads. This meticulous approach has helped create an SUV that is a perfect fit for European requirements, underscoring its everyday practicality and usability. Such a progressive and tailored package also results in greater luggage capacity, headroom and legroom compared to the outgoing Sportage model, with outstanding legroom for second-row passengers.

State-of-the-art hybrid powertrains further enhance the European Sportage’s capabilities, serving to dramatically reduce emissions and enhance fuel economy. The all-new fifth-generation Sportage debuts a high-tech Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) variant and a Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) petrol powertrain. The very latest clean internal combustion petrol and diesel engines are also available, ensuring the new Sportage meets a wide range of customer needs and requirements. The diesel engine can also be paired with the mild hybrid technology, serving to further reduce emissions and improve overall fuel economy.

Furthermore, an advanced Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) model will represent another first for the European Sportage when UK deliveries start in April 2022. The Sportage PHEV offers eco-friendly electric-only driving that can cover most daily commutes or shorter drives to the shops.

The Sportage has been an important ingredient in the astonishing rise in sales of Kia in the UK, Europe and globally, with the Sportage the best-selling model in those markets. Since 1995, almost a third of a million examples of the Sportage (327,502 units across all four earlier generations) have been sold here in the UK, with the fourth-generation car, in particular, a runaway success.
