Описание к видео WSNS Channel 44 - Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox (Last 7½ Minutes, 7/15/1977) ⚾

From another 'end of tape' find gleaned from a Umatic tape which sadly, was mostly recorded over, here's the last 7½ minutes of the Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox game, from Comiskey Park, as aired over WSNS Channel 44. Harry Caray is the announcer.

We join the action already in progress at the top of the 9th inning, with Boston at bat, and go from there until the final out.

Harry promises to "be right back with the totals and highlights in a moment", which leads us to an incomplete commercial for Pontiac Astre before the recording ends.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, July 15th 1977 during the (approx.) 10:16pm to 10:24pm timeframe. (To put this into perspective, this was two days after the infamous '77 blackout that engulfed the New York metro area - and two years to the week before the infamous Disco Demolition Night.)

About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television:

The MCCTv (FuzzyMemoriesTV) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s to early 80s, mostly) recorded off of TV (in Chicago or other cities now too); things which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. If you have any old 1970s videotapes recorded off of TV please email: [email protected] Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical preservation. For information on how to help in our mission, to donate or lend tapes to be converted to DVD, please e-mail [email protected] Thank you for your help!
