Deployed Father Gets A Father's Day Surprise

My good friend Christian and I deployed 2 weeks before Father's Day. His daughter Roxy had only been born two months before we left. He and his wife celebrated early and he received some gifts to remind him of what was waiting for him back home.
A couple weeks before we left his wife asked me if I could help her make a video for him, one that he could watch on Father's Day. She also gave me some dog tags which had a picture of him and his daughter etched on them, I was to hand these to him when i got the cue. It was a no brainer....of course I'd do it!

When the day came I asked Christian if he could help me with a video, I needed him to sit down and hold my laptop. I wished him a Happy Father's Day and as you can see he was very happy :).

It was an honor to be part of this moment and regardless of how many people watch this video.....it will never replace the joy this man felt.
