Baidyapur & Gopaldaspur : A Day Tour | বৈদ্যপুর ভ্রমন

Baidyapur is a village in Kalna subdivision of Purba Bardhaman district, West Bengal.
Boinchi is the nearest railway station of Baidyapur. Boinchi-Kalna Road passed through middle of this village.

On 16 February '22, we drove to Baidyapur taking NH19 only to discover its historical prowess. As many people know that the name of the village was derived from Mansamangal epic, we discovered that there was more to it than the ASI protected monument 'Jora Deul'. One must look around the remains of the 'Nahabatkhana', 'baithakbari' of Nandi Zanindari family along with the terracotta temples to better understand the place. If one looks closely, one will also find the colonial influence on the buildings. A day's trip is definitely worth reclaiming given its uniqueness.
