Zane Smith's bleak cup future

Zane Smith has been the worst driver in the NASCAR Cup Series this season. This has led to Trackhouse Racing making an "easy decision" to move Shane Van Gisbergen into Trackhouse and release Zane from his contract. Zane Smith, having driven his first season for Spire Motorsports, will never race for Trackhouse Racing. Already late in NASCAR Silly Season, Zane would be the favorite to go back to Front Row Motorsports. However, Edsel Ford is less than pleased about how Zane Smith conducted himself in his Trackhouse press conference to where he might block his move to FRM.

Zane Smith has been put in an odd spot in his cup career, and one that will be hard to dig out of.
