What is a market cycle

What is a market cycle? You may have noticed that the stock market is constantly moving in different directions. Not all companies and or sectors are moving in the same direction at the same time. What was in favor yesterday, doesn't mean it will be in favor today or tomorrow. Timing the market is nearly impossible and the best way for normal people like you and me to do well over the long-term is to dollar-cost-average into high quality businesses and/or ETFs.
