Earthborn Holistic Cat Food - Unboxing & Reviews (Part 1)

All of the samples that they sent to us are grain-free and do not contain by-products. Because of the amazing variety of samples that Earthborn provided, we divided the video into 3 parts.

In this first part we review the following items:

Primitive Feline Dry Food https://www.earthbornholisticpetfood.... My cats eat mostly wet food with a very limited amount of dry food. The cats ate the dry food samples, but not as heartily as they do the normal dry food that they receive. You may have also noticed in the scene where the cats were eating the dry food that beginning at 2:40 Jericho seemed to be having difficulty either chewing or swallowing it. I think that the very small kibble size made it more difficult for the cats to get a good chew on it. Although the Earthborn Holistic dry food is free of by-product, it does contain "meal" which I prefer not to give to the cats. I do think that the Earthborn Holistic dry food is healthier than many of the dry cat foods that are available, but there are other dry food brands that are healthier and that the cats enjoy more, so I would not purchase this dry food and I do not recommend it. If the cats had eaten it more enthusiastically and not had shown difficulty with the very small kibble size I would have considered this a good alternative to the normal dry food that I purchase for them.

Ranch House Stew (Beef Dinner with Vegetables in Gravy) Wet Food https://www.earthbornholisticpetfood.... This flavor was a big hit with both cats and I plan to purchase more of this and highly recommend it. I was pleasantly surprised that they enjoyed the beef flavor.

Chicken Jumble with Liver (Chicken Dinner with Liver in Gravy) Wet Food https://www.earthbornholisticpetfood.... This flavor has a very thick gravy so I added some water to it and stirred it well before serving it to the cats. The cats seemed to like this at first, but they didn’t finish their bowls. I probably won't purchase this in the future.

The canned/wet variety of Earthborn Holistic cat food is one that I've been purchasing for years. I appreciate that it is a healthy cat food that both cats enjoy eating and that is also affordable, compared to some other high quality cat foods. I love that Earthborn Holistic's wet food for cats is grain-free and also free of by-products and meal.

About Jericho & Thunder:

Jericho was born in 2007 and was adopted from the Humane Society on September 28, 2007, as an 8-week-old kitten. She is either a Korat or a Russian Blue.

Thunder was born in 2009 and was adopted from an animal rescue shelter on July 21, 2017, as an 8-year-old senior cat. His breed is unknown.
