LCD and VFD table-top games were incredibly popular in the early 1980s, promising to bring the arcade games home. With official licenses and clones of classic titles such as Pac-Man and Scramble, this book looks back at the best releases from multiple top companies including Nintendo, Tomy, and Gakken. The Evolution chapter describes how the wider industry was growing, and the "company sets" show several games from the same company gathered together.
