Matamaal has successfully been able to introduce Kashmiri cuisine and culture to the world by presenting the most traditional story stemming from the Valley of Kashmir. Through the restaurants located at Gurugram (flagship), Pune and Noida, Matamaal has been able to present a version of Kashmir that has never been explored before through cuisine.

Matamaal was founded by the Kashmiri power couple Nalini Moti Sadhu and Surender Sadhu, who have passionately dedicated themselves to bringing Kashmiri cuisine back to their community and sharing it with the world. Their journey is one of resilience and passion, aiming to bring the love, warmth, and hospitality of ‘grandma's home’ to the guests who come to Matamaal.

At Matamaal, dishes are prepared by Kashmiri chefs under Chef Nalini’s own guidance, using authentic Kashmiri spices and ingredients, all sourced locally from Kashmir.
