The new 2024 BMW X7 stands as the flagship and most opulent utility vehicle within BMW’s lineup. As the largest in its class, it surpasses the X5’s optional third row, making it the go-to choice for those desiring three spacious rows of seating in a BMW family hauler. The 2024 model, following a refresh in the previous year, introduces optional "Crystal" headlights and an illuminated kidney grille. The Driving Assistant Professional package now incorporates a semi-autonomous drive mode called Highway Assistant, enabling hands-free driving at speeds up to 130 km/h on compatible roadways. Stepping inside reveals a dashboard dominated by a massive curved digital display, featuring a 12.3-inch gauge cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen for infotainment. Luxury abounds with heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and ambient interior lighting. Folding down the back seats allows for substantial cargo space, accommodating up to 33 carry-on suitcases in total. The iDrive infotainment system operates through the 14.9-inch touchscreen and offers additional control options, including a rotary knob and gesture controls. Infotainment highlights include a Wi-Fi hotspot, BMW's Digital Key for remote vehicle control via a smartphone app, and optional features like a potent Harman/Kardon stereo and wireless charging. Safety is a paramount focus, with standard forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-departure warning.
