The name of town "Satghara" is believed to be derived from two words "Saaat or seven" and Ghara or pitchers or seven ghars"(seven homes). Another historical folklore has narrated that somevinjured solduers of Alexandar the Great (belonging to ancient town of Stageira of macedonia) resided there and they named this ancient town as Stageira now corrupted as Satghara by people as a pronunciation error. One more folklore about this town is that this town buried in earth seven times in history.
Mir Chakar Rind constructed a fort but currently only one giant wal is remaining.
The area is wel planned and has some historical remains including the gates just like the ones we see in Lahore Walled City. Historical Structures had been greatly damaged over the ages and local people have been using bricks of the fort to construct their own houses.
