Spring has finally, FINALLY visited Tacoma here in Washington and with it an itching desire to head into the woods with one of my favorite cameras and the old school, original Canon 100-400mm L 4.3-5.6 lens. But here's something I didn't expect...

Since the 4K has a metabones adapter to accommodate full frame canon glass, it opens up the aperture of each lens. For the 100-400 in particular this created some heavy vignetting on the extended 400mm shots that I never saw on my full frame and or super 35mm cinema cameras.

That said I love this lens and love what it can do. When pairing it with the BMPCC 4k I'll stop down to it's native range and see if that helps element the vignetting...or I'll save it for the Canon bodies.
