It then buys and processes the raw honey from beekeepers for sale to supermarkets and hotels throughout the country. The beekeepers have a substantial stake in the business so they can share in future profits. Although it’s a small start, by focusing on quality, MHC aims to be the first Mozambican honey business to break into the export market across Africa.
