Building The Ultimate Chessboard And I’m Still Bad

In this video, I’m showing off my custom-built, RGB-lit chess board designed to blend seamlessly into any space. It’s veneered in oak, fitted with custom resin pieces, and loaded with magnetic features to keep everything secure while playing or transporting. The board even hides the chess pieces inside when not in use!

My goal was to create a chess board that doesn’t look like one when it’s turned off—an “invisible” effect that activates only when the LEDs light up, revealing the board’s layout. I faced a few challenges, like getting the etching just right for the LED glow and hiding the board’s marks more effectively.
