HIKING Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls 2021: Yosemite National Park

Hiking the Vernal falls and Nevada falls is a must-do in Yosemite National Park. The hiking trail is 8.5 miles long and takes about 5 hours to complete. Along the way, you'll be rewarded with two spectacular waterfalls: the Vernal falls and Nevada falls. But besides the waterfalls, this hike also offers breathtaking scenery along the Merced River and across the Yosemite Valley. Hence it comes as no surprise that the Vernal falls and Nevada falls hike is very popular, and especially the first part of the trail can get very crowded. However, the crowds thin out once you reach the top of the Vernal Falls. We definitely recommend going all the way to Nevada Falls as they are just incredibly beautiful and a lot more quiet. The hike starts along the Mist Trail and loops down via the John Muir trail. Doing a loop makes it a lot more interesting and shows you different angles of the Vernal falls and Nevada falls.
