The Ford Ranger XLT is the middle specification of T6.2 Ranger ute in Australia. It can be had with a 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder Diesel engine with 154kW (206 hp), or a 3.0-litre single-turbo V6 Diesel engine with 184kW (246 hp). Here, we test the Ranger XLT V6 which costs $64,190 plus on-road costs, or $3000 more than the 2.0-litre model.

This specification of Ford Ranger XLT V6 competes with the Toyota Hilux SR5 and Nissan Navara ST-X, and many other dual cab utes in the $55-65K range in Australia.
