Experiences and Lessons from the Horn of Africa. Driven by the multifaceted and intersectional impacts of climate change that ADRA in Africa through its country office members have observed, both at the macro-level, as well as in the direct effects on their work in the fields of peacebuilding and conflict prevention, humanitarian assistance, and sustainable development, this webinar is aimed at introducing the ways climate crisis can be seen playing out within the context of the Humanitarian-Development-Peace nexus (HDP). It illustrates concrete and innovative activities that are already being implemented by ADRA country offices to ameliorate the negative impacts of conflict and climate crisis in the Horn of Africa.
This 1-hour webinar session is part II of the Nexus Programming Series organised by the Resilience Technical Learning Lab (RTLL) with support from ADRA Africa regional office. The webinar will have 3 parts. A 10-minute introduction to the HDP-Climate Change Nexus Pathways and in Context Africa; 40-minute case study presentations from ADRA South Sudan and Somalia; and a 10 min Q and A Session.
