Hand Dug Well Part 2 - "Failure is always an option"

This is the second installment of my attempt to dig a small irrigation well by hand. I am not claiming to be an expert, this is my first well and I am simply trying to work out solutions to problems as they happen. Sometimes things just don't work out the way I think they should. Other times the solution becomes clear only after some trial and error. Take what you can from my experience and be sure to watch all the parts.

My soil is about 8 feet of loam\clay with about a 5 foot layer of essentially straight river bed rocks followed by a layer of sand and small gravel. It is the type of soil you are not supposed to be able to hand drill a stable well by we are doing it. In the various videos I talk about the modifications I made to the auger based upon the conditions of the soil encountered.
