A brief history of the legendary MP5 submachine gun, one of the most widely adopted submachine guns in history, and often referred to as the "King of the SMGs". From the birth of submachine guns in World War One, to the German developments in World War 2 that kicked off the MP5's development, to the creation of its parent rifle, the G3, and then to the MP5; along with its tremendous impact on the world as Europe's War on Terror expanded in the 70s.
