This Doctor Reacts video is looking at the next episodes of the new Bridgerton spin-off called Queen Charlotte. This captured my interest because it gives us a chance to look into the very real mental health problems suffered by her husband, King George. Some say he had bipolar. Others have said it was a much rare condition called porphyria. This video looks at clips from episode 4 covering the proposed treatments for his mental illness, which includes understanding physical treatments like humours, blood letting, surgery, and the primitive treatments and attitudes around mental illness and so-called insanity.
