Episode #27 of Gar Borras's Time Machine The Gong Show

The Gong Show was an amateur Talent Show that was created by Legendary Television Producer and Creator Chuck Barris who had previously had created shows such as The Dating Game and The Newlywed Game. At the time there had never been anything on TV like the Gong Show. Many people may not know that the Gong Show was originally hosted by someone else but he did not share the same vision that Chuck Barris had for the show so after he quit the show it was the show's creator: Chuck Barris who took over hosting duties and the show was never the same. While the show was only on the air for 2 years: 1976-1978 it made a huge impact on Pop Culture. In 2022 people are still checking out classic episodes on YOUTUBE.
