I recently flew from Chiang Rai to Phuket, and it has been quite a surprise! It feels like moving to a completely different country.
Dramatic Landscape Shift: Transitioning from the serene mountains to the stunning ocean views.
Cultural Differences: Moving from the Thai mainland to the islands has introduced me to a whole new lifestyle.
Cost Variations: The shift from affordable street food and prices to the higher costs typical of tourist resorts has been quite an adjustment.
Language Barrier: In Chiang Rai, English was less commonly spoken, but here in Phuket, most people communicate in English.
