it took 361 hours but i finally did it.

Edit 4: current PB as of July 2 2023 is now 7:59. which could be optimized to 7:4x i believe

Edit 1: As of September 12th 2022 Darkslayer was reclaimed the World Record time of 8:03. Insane run with insane strats, but i think it is possible to get a couple seconds faster not accounting his armstrong time loss, 7:59 is definitely possible.

Edit 2: Darkslayer has clarified that his run had the speedglitch accidentally applied so i guess it is illegitimate, BUT he still would definitely beat my run if he tried to do it again and its still beating it by 2 or 3 seconds without the speedglitch according to him. But gg anyways because he will inevitably beat it.

Edit 3: I was correct, Darkslayer did in fact take it back this time for real by 3 seconds as of September 22nd 2022. But i will be getting an 8:05 or 8:03 soon.

This is on Revengance difficulty btw which is the main category ran for this dlc.

This can be improved by about 10 seconds, i do think a sub 8 is possible. More specifically a 7:58~? With my double helicopter strat that i didnt use that saves 2 seconds, the explosive gekco strat i made up yesterday that saves 4-5 seconds but getting the extra grenade for it takes about 3-4 seconds, and a possibly 1 second faster armstrong with better RNG, and a half second faster elevator. ray can also be half a second faster. As well as a roughly 3-4 second time save from a no-restart freight elevators but more practice on that is needed. There is also the Smokeless Keycard strat that saves about 2 seconds or more.

final update 10/8/22: several new strats that can cut this down to a sub 8 or maybe 7:55, have been found so this run is a little outdated but no one has done it yet and its kinda free if you can pull them off but they are all a little harder to do but save a lot of time each. MGR speedrun discord has some of them in the jetstream sam channel posted by me, darkslayers new 8:02 run features them as well.
