►Lesson Description: In this lesson I discuss the tcc compiler which is a VERY fast single pass C compiler. The point of this video is to show that we can make tradeoffs to do fast builds for developers (using something like tcc), and then do optimized builds (using gcc) when it's time for release (of course, you'll want to test your optimized builds too -- but let's at least start the discussion here). tcc is a neat compiler that otherwise from my test is about an order of magnitude faster for compiling and generating executables -- perhaps there's even a space for it in hot reloading systems today.
