We’ll uncover the traditional food of Aotearoa, go behind the scenes of New Zealand’s most famous food industries and take you into family run businesses that create some of New Zealand’s best food.

This video kicks off in Hawke’s Bay a region on the east coast of Te- Ika-a Maui, the North Island, famous for its wine, iconic buildings and great food. We take you around the art deco city of Napier and eat pizza by the slice at a neighbourhood favourite, Vinci's , nab a cone from New Zealand’s oldest ice creamery Rush Munro's and share a seafood restaurant called Hunger Monger, championing local ingredients and serving up unique dishes. 1. Half and half pizza (Banger and Mortadella) at Vinci's Pizza, 29A Hastings Street, Napier South, Napier 4110. Open Sunday to Thursday 11:00am to 8:00pm and Friday to Saturday 11:00am to 9:00pm.

2. Scorched almond and strawberries and cream ice cream at Rush Munro's Ice Creamery, 704 Heretaunga Street West, St Leonards, Hastings 4120. Open Wednesday to Sunday 11:00am to 5:30pm.

3. Seafood meal at Hunger Monger, 129 Marine Parade, Napier South, Napier 4110. Wednesday to Saturday 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
