The hard work of the Southern Electric Traction Group has paid off and today saw the long-anticipated return of 3417 “Gordon Pettitt” to the mainline, flanked by GBRf 73s.
The first two clips are of the shunt move at Strawberry Hill in order to get the second 73 on the rear of the train. The third is of the train passing through to a VIP event at Waterloo. The last two are the train briefly stopping at Richmond on the way back to Strawberry Hill.
3417 looks stunning, hats off to the SETG.
