RH850 Writing: Mileage Recalibration VDO MQB Analogue RH850 R7F701407

Hello, friends!

Let me show you a great way to calibrate the mileage on VDO MQB dashboards, in case you need to replace them, for example.

I am using the ABRITES RH850/V850 Programmer to recalibrate the mileage value in a VDO MQB analogue dashboard with a RH850 R7F701407 processor. All I need to do is follow the instructions on removing capacitors and soldering the CB501 cable's wires in their places. It is not too hard to do, if you pay attention and take your time.
Remember: do not put any extensions to the wires, use the CB501 as is, place the wires carefully and all will be alright.

Software-wise, you will need the VN021 license, which is one of the several ABRITES licenses specially developed for this Programmer.

After connecting to the module, read its memory and save it to a file. You know, it is always good to have a backup. Then, update the mileage data and hit Write. All should be done in around 20-30 minutes, since time is needed to unlock and read the data, subsequently, unlock and write it once again.

And there you have it - RH850 writing done right! NO pin lifting, NO cutting, nothing harmful done to the PCB. A very elegant solution, if I might say.
