The cereal growers association has stepped up pressure on treasury to rescind last month's decision to lower duty levied on imported wheat. The lobby which represents the interests of cereal farmers says the decision which saw duty on imported wheat lowered from 25% to 10% will eat into farmer's margins and expose the local industry to unfair competition from subsidized imports.
