Curtis Sliwa & Huge Crowd Protest Migrants at Staten Island St John Villa School NYC 8.28.23

8.28.2023 / By Meir / St. John Villa, Staten Island - Community members and others gathered at the previously vacant St. John Villa school at around 6 p.m. in protest of the city housing migrants there. Organizers of the protest included Scott LoBaido and was attended by Curtis Sliwa of the Guardian Angels. At one point during Scott LoBaido's speech, there was an unknown disturbance. Community members expressed concern about the shelter's location in a residential neighborhood. The crowd dissipated at around 9 p.m.
