It involves scammers sending text messages, phone calls, or emails to mislead users into providing their Apple Pay payment information.
If you discover a scam on Apple Pay, take the following steps to get your money back into your account;

Confirm that the scam came through Apple Pay.
It is unlikely to get scammed on Apple Pay due to its high encryption. However, in some instances, it may happen. Confirm that the transaction is on your Apple Pay. To confirm, go to your transaction history and check the unauthorized transaction.

Locate the unauthorized transaction in question.
To locate the unauthorized transaction, undertake the following steps;
i. Navigate your device to open the wallet app.
ii. Tap the credit or debit card from which the scam happened.
iii. Browse through the list of all the transactions recorded on your app.
iv. Upon finding the contested transaction, tap it to get more information on the scam, including the amount.

ii. Select the “report an issue” option.
iii. When prompted, click on incorrect merchant information.
