The American star claimed her first ASB Classic title in 2023 with a dominant 6-1, 6-1 victory over Rebeka Masarova. She successfully defended her crown this year, edging out Elina Svitolina in a tight three-set final, 6-7, 6-3, 6-3. Instead of returning to Auckland, Gauff will participate in the United Cup, held over 3,300 miles away in Perth, Australia. As part of Team USA, Gauff will join Taylor Fritz, Robert Galloway, and Danielle Collins as she prepares for the upcoming Australian Open.
