Join me on an exciting walking tour from Saddar Noman Shopping Center to the iconic New Memon Masjid Tower. This journey takes us through some of Karachi's busiest and most vibrant markets, offering a glimpse into the city's bustling wholesale trade and delicious street food scene.
As soon as we start, you'll see some food stalls and a photography shop. Moving ahead, we pass by shops selling dry fruits, always bustling with activity and traffic jams. We capture the bustling cloth stalls and dry fruit shops, showcasing the liveliness of this area.
Our walk takes us to Burns Road, famous for its chapli kebab shops, and then to the clock market where you can find almost anything in bulk. This entire area is a major wholesale hub of Karachi. I also captured the vibrant watch, camera, and electronics markets.
Reaching Regal Chowk, the sheer crowd makes it feel like a human traffic jam, with people enjoying samosas and kachoris, and stalls selling all sorts of small electric items at affordable prices, which explains the rush.
Next, we visit the LCD and solar panel markets, followed by the massive speaker and sound system markets. You'll also see shops selling and repairing old TVs, which are rare nowadays.
Passing several food stalls and hotels, we cross Urdu Bazar without entering and move towards Burns Road Food Street, packed with food stalls and eateries. Turning right, we explore the glass frame and painting market, showcasing various photos and Islamic calligraphy.
As we turn left, we enter the bustling Jama Cloth Ladies Market, filled with items for women and children, bridal wear, and more. Lemon juice stalls and golgappa vendors add to the vibrant atmosphere.
We then come across Kausar Medico and the famous Ghulam Hussain Khaliqdina Library. Nearby, there's a market for modern salwar kameez and children's clothing, as well as a diverse chair market.
Passing the toys market near Kausar Medico, we see fruit stalls and move towards Light House, Karachi. On one side, there's a huge wholesale perfume market, and on the other, shops selling clothes, shoes, carpets, and curtains.
Crossing Light House, we pass City Court, surrounded by a large market for electric items. These buildings date back to the British era, adding historical charm to the electronic wholesale market.
Finally, we capture the outer side of Jodia Bazar, passing the wholesale glasses and watch markets, and exploring the Prize Bond Market. Our journey ends at the New Memon Masjid Tower, capturing the essence of Karachi's wholesale markets and bustling streets.
