Crossroads Theme Music - Full Version (Meg's Mix)

Описание к видео Crossroads Theme Music - Full Version (Meg's Mix)

Tony Hatch’s theme music to Crossroads gets a makeover. Here is the full Cut & Thrust version of that unforgettable theme tune. This is Meg’s Mix.

The original series of Crossroads ran on ITV in the UK from 1964 to 1988. Although Crossroads was known for its cheap production values, it was extremely popular and in the 70s and early 80s, the series regularly attracted huge audiences with ratings as high as 15 million viewers.

Crossroads was set in Birmingham and focused on the day to day lives of the staff who worked at the Crossroads Motel. The star of the show was Motel owner Meg Mortimer (originally Richardson, later Ryder), played by Noele Gordon, who was sensationally axed from the show in 1981. The writers and producers of the show had us believe that she may have died in a fire that gutted the motel, but she actually turned up alive aboard the QE2 cruise ship.

The theme music by Tony Hatch was unforgettable and stayed the same from 1964 to 1985 when the music was updated. This remix uses the original theme tune that UK audiences (of a certain age) all know and love. Keep an ear out for the ATV ident music by Jack Parnell.

No copyright infringement intended. This is a tribute remix born out of my love for the show and childhood memories. Copyright belongs to Tony Hatchi/ATV/Central Television/ITV.
