It's well-known by fans of Korra that the biggest plus of the series is the character of the Avatar herself. She is so realistically written, given so many layers and believable flaws, and develops into a completely different person by the end of the series, learning so much from friends and foes alike.

I think her character arc connects the seasons of the show together rather well, and provides for a fascinating concept to focus an Avatar series around. We get a close examination of her fears, her goals, and overall a great depiction of who she is as a person, giving us someone that we can relate to and draw inspiration from. She's such a crucial character for this day age, one that I think everyone should experience and learn from.
