AB InBev expands in South America thanks to a new KHS canning line for beer

With its new canning line for the Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes bottling plant, AB InBev is once again relying on KHS technology and thus continuing its decades-long partnership and cooperation with the Dortmund systems supplier. In order to be able to meet the growing demand for canned beverages, AB InBev has now invested in a 90,000-cph KHS canning line for beer in Argentina.

The heart of the line is the KHS Innofill Can DVD can filler that enables Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes to reliably and efficiently fill its beer into cans holding 350 ml and 473 ml. Tried-and-tested KHS machinery is also used in the packaging and palletizing area; an Innopack Kisters SP and Innopal PB, for example, respectively pack and palletize the company’s cans and packs in processes that are gentle to the product.

KHS hasn’t only proved itself to be a reliable partner when it comes to the brewery’s technology, however, but also convinced its client with outstanding project management and trouble-free commissioning despite the difficult circumstances caused by the pandemic.
