This is a short video of our trek to Everest Base Camp (5364 meters), starting from Kathmandu, then Ramechap, Lukla and all the way to EBC.
We started our journey with a long flight that took us through Dubai (UAE) and then Kathmandu (Nepal). Here we had a couple of days to adjust and also do some last minute shopping, then traveled by car to the small city of Ramechap, which in autumn/winter can be a starting point towards Lukla airport, the gateway to Everest and one of the most dangerous airports in the world.
From here on, we started a 2 weeks trek by foot through the amazing valleys of the Himalayas, going up and down (but mostly up) towards our destination, Everest Base Camp.
Although the weather is stable in the months of October and November, we experienced 5 days of rain and snow (accompanied by cold and mud), due to a cyclone in the Bengal gulf of India, which traveled the mountains and brought a lot of precipitation.
After those days of rain and snow, the weather cleared and we managed to reach EBC and return safe back to Lukla, Ramechap and then Kathmandu.
The experience was amazing, as you can see in the video and will be followed by other videos with more explanations about the trek (logistics, gear, costs, do's and don'ts).

I wish to thank our amazing guide Pasang Sherpa, who helped us every step of the journey and made things nicer even on bad weather, our incredible porters who helped us with our duffel bags, our travel company Base Camp Hike, who took care of all the details and made the trip fun and easi(er), the team and friends that joined me on this adventure and, last but not least, you for watching this and supporting this project.
If you are interested in taking a similar trip to Nepal and trek the Himalayas up to EBC (Everest Base Camp) or perhaps ABC (Annapurna Base Camp), I highly recommend you do this with a professional firm from the area. We went there with Base Camp Hike (https://www.basecamphike.com) and it was a very good decision, because they know the area, the people and made everything easier. Feel free to contact them and take the safe(r) approach.
