Danny Toala of Hastings Boys High School was a standout New Zealand schoolboy in 2017. He decimated Australian Schools in the second half coming off the bench in the annual match. He was a midfield/fullback option for Hastings, and also made the Hurricanes u18 team as starting fullback. Toala was one of four schoolboys named in the New Zealand u20 development camp for 2018.
