Sharing the recipe for Homemade Betel Leaf Wine /Vettila Wine |/ aka Paan Wine. This is a very quick and easy to make recipe. Do try this out for this easter.

Recipe Here:-

Betel Leaf -100 Nos
Sugar -1 kg
Whole Wheat Grains - 100gm
Cinnamon sticks -2 (optional, use as per preferred taste)
Green Chilly -1
Yeast (optional) - 1tsp (dissolve this in lukewarm water with 1 tsp sugar. Keep aside for 10 minutes until it rises.
water - 2 ltrs (filtered/ boiled and cooled)
Glass Jar/porcelain Jar

Tear the pan leaves and add this to jar, layer with sugar, keep alternating between paan leaves and sugar. Top with wheat grains. Finally, add spices and chilly. Mix this nicely. Add water mix everything well. Close the lid tightly. Let this rest for 21 days in a dark place (under bed etc). If time permits keep stirring the mixture every alternate day after 1 week until the 21st day. On 21st day, strain this mixture, transfer to a glass bottle. Chill and use.

This has a beautiful light green color and is very tasty. Also has some of the best health benefits.
