Stargate - ARDUINO & 3D PRINTER PROJECT

This project was focused on recreating Stargate model from Tv series SG-1 to the best of my ability. Stargate was 3d printed on DaVinci AIO 3d printer with black ABS filament. This Stargate was built according to this manual :

It took me almost a month to print all necessary parts for the gate. Other parts and support structures was designed by me in SolidWorks and 3d printed as well ( wooden parts excluded ).

The Stargate electronic parts are controlled by Arduino UNO. This gate has functional dialing keyboard witch allows me to encode every thirty nine chevrons in dialing sequence. When left powered on there are randomly generated incoming gate connections in 10 min to 1 hour timeframe. The event horizon is simulated by rotating led strips. ( I can`t record this in good quality because my camera limitations)
The model also works as a MP3 player when USB key with music is inserted.
