DIY RV Slide Cable Replacement | How To Repair & Replace Cable For Slide Out

As you can see the top cable for the slide out on our RV (2017 Keystone Outback Super-Lite Toy Hauler) has frayed.🥲 And this video is all about my process of replacing the cable on my own. As a traveling full-timer you're going to end up in spots where you'll be unable to find a technician, and this was the case for us!

After completing this repair I can confidently say I don't think you need to hire a technician anyways...

In this video I try to show the entire process of how to replace a broken or frayed cable. At first glance, it might look like too much work, but it really wasn't bad at all! I had received quotes for between $1,000-$2,000 for the fix (although sources online say they got quotes for lower) and I just didn't feel it was worthwhile to fork over the cash when I can do it myself for $50!
