HOW TO SOUNDPROOF A BASEMENT CEILING

Описание к видео HOW TO SOUNDPROOF A BASEMENT CEILING

Roxul Safe'n'sound is made from natural and recycled materials. It is fire resistant due to it's high melting temperature (1177°C). Does not rot, promote mildew, fungus, or bacteria. To achieve an Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating of 50 two layers of Safe'n'Sound must be installed. The first layer flush with the base of the sub floor, leave an air gap to add an additional barrier for sound proofing, final layer at the base of the joist. Don't pack it in tight or else you compromise the soundproofing capabilities. Then install resilient channel 16 O.C. the opposite direction of the ceiling joists. Finally install 5/8" Type X drywall or two layers of 1/2" drywall.
