Old newspapers, used magazines, anything with text — these became his tools. He slowly rebuilt his education by himself, page by page, without guidance or formal structure. What started as casual reading eventually grew into a consistent practice. Over time, he began teaching in evening literacy classes.

These early routines — self-learning, teaching adults after long shifts, and creating space for community learning — form the foundation of the work he would later take up in life.
