On March 16, 2025, at approximately 5:31 AM, an arson attempt occurred at Sierra del Sol Condominiums, located at 6201 Escondido Drive, El Paso, TX. The incident took place in front of Unit 1C at Building 1 and targeted a 1975 Karmann Ghia—a collector’s car owned by Arthur Gilbert Stoltz, former SDS HOA President.

Video footage captures the suspect approaching the vehicle and attempting to ignite a fire. The Sierra del Sol HOA is requesting assistance from residents and the wider community to help identify the individual involved. While this footage is shared for awareness, the arson investigator has asked that it not be reposted on social media, as the investigation remains active.
