Do you remember those days of slide shows with a projector?
Watching the screen made of a white sheet
or a blank white wall, would also suffice,

I would sit mesmerized. Quiet.

Often there was no sound, except for the change over click to the next photo.
Often the photos were not in order.
Often we would not recognize the people in the photos.

However those who knew, would explain and laugh, and tell yet another joke or story about the event, and thus break the silence.

Sometimes the simple slide show, basic in its origin, is the best way to relay a message.

Watch the following presentation with it’s wobbles and awkward transitions from one screen to the next and watch with sound or not.

I felt to call this a prophetic presentation of the time I stepped outside into the garden,
during the Lockdown period 2020.

Pandemic pandemonium stirred up an unease never before experienced. I dug deep to keep the blessed peace in my life but there was something different in the atmosphere. There was no denying that God was getting my attention in a whole new way.
The news grew ever grim. Around the world, each nation and tribe were dealing with the Covid-19 virus outbreak. Masks were mandatory to go beyond your doorstep. Social distancing was added to the list of dos and don’ts. No hugging, elbow tapping progressed to 2 meter distancing from each other in public spaces.

2020 kick started a new era.

Strict restrictions kept me within the confines of home. I had the privilege of a fairly large garden to escape into when I needed to stretch my legs or soak up the sunshine.
A few days into the lockdown, I heard the call to unpack my flags and start raising a banner.
In this booklet I share these few days with you and trust it will encourage you too, to raise a banner. It might just be a dish towel in your hand or a kite in the wind, but know that the prophetic action you step out in faith for, will be like a light in the darkness, a beacon of hope.

Raise a banner for the truth to rise up in our world.

We need this hope in our own lives and families foremost. The ripple effect of our faith actions will flow over into our communities and beyond.

Imagine a scene of your hometown with people praising and dancing down the main street, raising a banner of love. Colors, tambourines, music, singing and banners all around!
The complete opposite to the “lockdown scene”.
