Hey guys! More from my trip to Xinjiang! This time we are going to the ancient town of Kashgar, the very center of Uyghur history and culture. I went to the Kozcha Bishi (كوزچابىشى|高台民居), where the famous movie "The Kite Runner" was filmed 20 years ago. I again tried to practice my Uyghur with the locals, who speak the language with a very strong accent. They also spoke to me in a Uyghur-Chinese croele, which is hilarious if you speak either language. The polu (پولۇ 抓饭) Uyghur pilaf was great! Join me and discover Kashgar together!
