BMW Power Tailgate Power Liftgate Spindle drive - Power Strut troubleshooting, automatic tailgate

Wiring diagram schematic included for BMW power tailgate power liftgate spindle drive motors. These are also inaccurately called power tailgate struts, power tailgate shocks. This applies to many makes and models but the specific video deals with a 2012 E70 BMW X5 xDrive35i. Spindle drive part numbers 51247332695 and 51234332696. You can PARTIALLY test the spindle drives by applying 12VDC and testing clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. Even though the spindle drive passes this test, the spindle drive could still be defective due to lack of signals from the TWO hall effect rotation sensors. It might be possible to test the hall effect sensor output with an oscilloscope or other sophisticated test equipment.
